Biographical Note
Lingan Strother Randolph taught Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (now Virignia Tech) from 1893-1918. From 1913-1918, he served as the dean of the Engineering department. He helped design a number of buildings on the VPI campus, as well as for other institutions.
