Biographical Note
Alfred H. Krebs came to Virginia Tech from the University of Maryland in 1969. He served as head of agricultural education and was appointed director of the summer school program. He became the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs in 1972 and later became the Vice President for Special Projects in 1975. In 1977, he succeeded the late Stuart Cassell as Vice President of Administration. Alfred Krebs retired from Virginia Tech in August of 1981.

Scope and Content
This collection consists primarily of correspondence and records from the Office of Academic Affairs at Virginia Tech. The bulk is from Malpass' tenure as Vice-President for Academic Affairs (1968-1974), but there also are materials from Alfred H. Krebs' tenure as director of Summer School and as Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs under Malpass and from Donald C.
