From the Collection:
This collection consists of three documents relating to the 37th Virginia Infantry of the Confederate Army. Included is an 1863 invoice from Captain Jno Preston of the quartermaster's department for shoes issued to Captain J. Harvey Wood of Company D. The collection also contains receipts for two deserters--G. D. Shaver (Company K) and James Cox (Company B)--delivered from the Washington County, Virginia en [enlistment?] officer in 1864.
