Although this photograph is unmarked, the woman's clothing would suggest that it was taken during the Victorian era (1837-1901) or the following era–the Edwardian era (1901-1910). In the photograph, the woman is holding a scroll; this scroll could, perhaps, be indicative of the woman's educational achievements.
