Scope and Content
From the Collection:
The collection consists of one poster from the Richmond Club of VPI which was advertising a "cabaret style, informal" dance. It was hosted in the Virginia Room of the John Marshall Hotel. "Jimmy Hamner & Orchestra" provided the music. Admission cost $2.50, with or without reservations. While the poster lists Dec. 28 as the date of the dance, the exact year is unknown; however, December 28th occurred on a Wednesday in 1949 and 1955, making either a likely candidate.
