Chi Epsilon program,, 1948.

The collection contains a VPI honor list for 1897-1898, a 1948 Chi Epsilon dinner program, and a 1962 list of living alumni who attended VAMC prior to 1900. While Begg is not on the honor roll, future VPI president Julian A. Burress is listed as a "proficient" senior and as graduating with a Bachelors of Science with honors. Chi Epsilon is the United States National Civil Engineering undergraduate honor society. The 1948 program has a menu for the 25^th anniversary banquet (March 8, 1948), as well as a list of old and new members. The verso side contains a note that the dinner also celebrates "Colonel R.B.H. Begg's 35^th anniversary as Head of the Civil Engineering Department at V.P.I." The invitation is written to "The 'Colonel.'" The list of alumni contains handwritten marginalia and changes.
