The collection contains the diary of Anne Hulme, whose entries talk about school and home life, her courtship and marriage, gender relations, and family. The entries, though scattered, range from December 25, 1836 until June 10, 1850.

The collection contains a summons to the sheriff of Bland County for the Wytheville Telephone Company for trespassing on the property of R. C. Green from 1889.
