The collection contains a letter written by Nancy B. Harbin to her sons, Jack and John Harbin in Company F, 42nd Regiment of the Mississippi Infantry of the Confederate army.

A letter from Confederate Major General G.H. Steuart to Major Commanding General Kenton Harper, and Harper�s reply. The letter was written in Baltimore, Maryland, and is dated April 23, 1861. It expresses concern over the unexpected movements of Union troops in Annapolis, Maryland.

Collection includes a Statement of Charges on Muster and Pay Rolls; a Quarterly Return of Ordinance and Ordnance Stores Received, Issued, and Remaining on Hand; an Abstract of Expenditures; and an Invoice of Stores Turned Over.
Bauserman Family Letters
Three letters from Confederate Privates Raphael C. and Erasmus Bauserman of Virginia's 12th Cavalry, Company K, to their family during the Civil War. Dated from 1861 to 1864, the letters are addressed to their mother, sisters, and other brothers. They discuss their unit's health, company rations, fighting, and horses.

Frank C. Kitts, Jr. Scrapbook
A scrapbook assembled by Frank C, Kitts, Jr., containing mementoes from his life during 1919-1936. He went to Tazewell High School in Tazewell County, Virginia, and was a mail carrier and member of the U.S. Guard Band. His scrapbook contains items such as letters, locks of hair, newspaper clippings, high school football and play tickets, calling cards, and poems.
