Chaplain to the 10th Connecticut Volunteer Regiment from 1862 to 1865 in the Civil War. Collection includes photocopies of the letters Trumbull wrote during that time (mostly to his wife), and a copy of the journal and diaries he kept while in a prisoner-of-war camp in Columbia, South Carolina.
