James H. Saye Correspondence

Minister in South Carolina during the Civil War. Correspondence consists of three letters from Saye to relatives. Despairs that there is a respectable corps of speculators who are ready for any enterprise to make money and urges his brother to accept payment of a debt in Confederate money, for the financial situation in the CSA government will be crippled if no one uses the money.
