Scope and Content

The collection contains a letter from a Union soldier, Conrad C. Badger, in the Civil War writing his mother from Nashua, New Hampshire. Badger writes that he intends to enlist in the 6th New Hampshire Regiment as a nurse after trying to get positions with surgeons in two other regiments. Records indicate that Badger was at one point a private with Company I.
