Resident of Newport, Virginia. Papers consists of correspondence, news clippings, articles, and notes, primarily by and about the work of poet Randall Jarrell (1914-65), author of Little Friend, Little Friend (1945) and The Lost World (1965), and Annie Dillard (1945), Pulitzer Prize winning author of Pilgrim at Tinker Creek. All of Dillard's correspondence in the collection is to Horton.
