Biographical/Historical Information
The Farmville Guard served in the Civil and Spanish-American wars and saw service on the Mexican border in 1916. During World War I, the company was called into service to guard the Norfolk and Western Railway at St. Paul, Virginia before being stationed at Camp McClellan (Anniston, Alabama) in September 1917.
