The names of individuals pictured are included in a caption beneath the photo itself and include Rev. John Horton, Rev. John Wm. Morris, Prof. J. C. Carper, D.D., and Judge D. W. Bolen. Other family names figuring predominantly within the group are Beamer, Combs, Monday, Morris, and Smith. The caption cites W. [R.?] Morris as the photo's printer and owner.
