Soldier in the 7th Rhode Island Infantry during the Civil War. Three letters from Maryland, Rhode Island, and Kentucky to his mother in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts. Writes that he will send money home, and asks her to buy him a Smith and Wesson Seven Shooter.
