Civil War Union Soldier's Letters
Three letters from Washburn (last name unknown), a Union soldier in the 14th Massachusetts Battery in the Civil War, to his brother and mother. Washburn writes in April and May 1865 from various places in Virginia about rumors of the soldiers being mustered out of service, souvenir hunters buying up Confederate money, and the effects of the war on the town of Petersburg, Virginia.

Alva Cleveland Diary,
The collection contains the diary of Alva Cleveland, a 57-year-old soldier who served as an orderly with the 1st Regiment, Wisconsin Infantry. The diary covers March to July 1862 while Cleveland's regiment was stationed around Nashville, Tennessee, and in northern Alabama.
Allen J. Clifton Correspondence
Union soldier from Easton, Pennsylvania, in the Civil War. Two letters written March and April, 1863, to his sister and brother from a convalescent camp in Virginia. Writes about examinations for those being discharged.

Union soldier in Co. C, 42nd Regiment of the Indiana Infantry. Collection consists of Coe's marriage certificate to Mary Webb, correspondence between Coe and his family during his military service, and papers concerning Coe's civil war pension.
Edwin R. Coghill Collection
Civil War memoir of Sergeant Edwin R. Coghill of Company E ("Caroline Greys"), 30th Virginia Infantry, together with a post-war company roster, and a 1970 booklet commemorating a memorial service for General Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson at Bethel Baptist Church and containing a transcript of Coghill's memoir.
