Pamphlets

A collection of printed materials relating to the first half-century of aviation, consisting mostly of promotional materials from various manufacturers. Also contains a few periodicals (including an issue of Contact, published by the Women's National Aeronautical Association), and a menu from a dinner honoring Amelia Earhart.

The Cocktail Ephemera Collection is a collection that was created in 2013. The collection consists of materials in a variety of formats (i.e., postcards, pamphlets, and adverstising ephemera) relating to the history of the cocktails, dating from the about the 1870s to the present.

The collection includes small publications and pamphlets created and distributed by culinary, appliance, and food-related companies from about the 1870s to the 1990s. Most pamphlets contain advertisements, recipes, product information, testimonials, or some combination of all four.

The Educational Cookery Collection includes flyers, pamphlets, cooking school catalogs, recipes, menus, cookery lessons, and other ephemera relating to cookery and education, dating from the 1880s to the 1960s.

The Evaporated Milk Association Pamphlet Collection consists of a binder of pamphlets explaining evaoprated milk and the benefits of its use and consumption. The binder was sent as a group to libraries and includes two introductory letters, 26 pamphlets, and 4 scientific reports, the majority of which date from about the 1920s.

The Military & Wartime Cookery Collection consists of a variety of manuscript and ephemeral materials relating to the history of military and wartime food and cooking. Items in the collection date from 1884 to 1965, though the bulk of the collection covers parts of World War I through World War II (1917-1945).

Nine brochures from the Collins General Aviation Division of Rockwell International contain information regarding various products of the division, such as Electronic Flight Instrument systems and Weather Radar systems.
