F.I. Shipman Letter
Union soldier in the Civil War, stationed in Petersburg, Virginia. Letter to his father mentioning signs of peace and asking for stamps and other necessities.
Shoemaker Ledgers (North Carolina),
The collection includes three ledger books from a shoemaker in North Carolina. Dating from 1851 to at least 1860, they contain customer lists, orders, and records of payments.
Letter to Ruth H. Shootman
The collection consists of a three-page letter written December 5th, 1846, from Harriet of Sandy River Church, Virginia (a town in Prince Edward County) to "Miss Ruth H. Shootman, Big Lick, Roanoke, Va."

A. M. Showalter Poem
A Poem written by A.M Showalter entitled, "An Ode to My Hometown Church Where I Belong," ca. 1947. The poem is dedicated to Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, uses rhymed couplets, and features a picture of the church.
Shugart Family Papers,
This collection contains papers from the Shugart Family of Southwest Virginia, created between 1811 and 1876.
Carrie T. Sibold Family Papers,
The collection consists of scrapbooks, journals, V.P.I. reunion materials, photograph albums, family diplomas, and the diary of Nannie V. Sibold. As a whole, the collection dates from 1912 to 1990. However, Carrie T. Sibold's scrapbook journals, which run from 1974 to 1990, constitute the the bulk of the collection material.
Anthony K. Simmons Letter
Letter from Anthony K. Simmons describing health of son Ed, a private in Company A, 28th Virginia Infantry recently wounded in the Battle of Gaines' Mill, and relating war news from Manchester, Virginia.
Site of Proposed Stadium
Map shows the topography of the site for the proposed stadium at VPI circa 1924. The stadium, Miles Stadium, was completed in 1926.
