This 1967 reproduction consists of the geographic regions of Virginia and Maryland as charted in 1670, and it contains illustrations of the cartographer, native peoples, and a coat of arms.

Letters to William S. Archer discussing his election as delegate to the July, 1849, convention of the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad Company. Correspondence also discusses the plan to connect the Atlantic and Pacific oceans via railroads.

The collection includes, but is not limited to: meeting minute and agendas, committee reports, conference planning documents and programs, forms, organizational correspondence, membership lists, publications, and memorabilia.

The three invitations represent events at the Montgomery White Sulphur Springs, Yellow Sulphur Springs, and the Hancock House resorts.

The Virginia Brewing Company letter was written on September 27, 1909 by Louis A. Scholz, President of the company, and Henry Scholz, Secretary and Treasurer of the company requesting support for anti-Prohibition laws in Virginia.

This collection contains a slave rental receipt issued by the Virginia Central Railroad Company in 1855 to Mrs. Elisabeth S. Lindsay. The receipt promises a payment of $175 to Lindsay after the one year rental period for the work of the slave, a man named Isaac, ends.

Virginia election ticket for the November 6, 1861, Confederate election. It includes the names of candidates for sixteen districts; Jefferson Davis for President, and A.H. Stephens for Vice President; and state representative candidates, John R. Edmunds and Allen T. Caperton.
