Scope and Content Collection consists of transcripts of letters written by Mary Elizabeth Henderson Caperton of Nelson County, Virginia, to her husband George Henry Caperton, a soldier in the 1st Virginia Regiment of Mounted Volunteers (also known as the 30th Virginia Volunteers Mounted) in the Civil War. Mary Caperton wrote most of the letters from White Thorn, in Blacksburg, Virginia, while staying with Sarah Ann Caperton Preston, her husband's sister, while her husband served in the Confederate Army. Abstract

The Center of Contemporary Architecture, a cultural non-governmental organization in Moscow, produced a weekly television series (2001-2004) titled Architecture Gallery which was supported by the Ford Foundation and authored and narrated by Irina Korobina. This collection contains selected videos from the Architecture Gallery television program produced by the C:CA. Also present are DVDs of other films produced by the C:CA, "Ivan Leonidov, the Architect" and "Netherlands' Coasts."

Mary Brown Channel Architectural Collection

Abstract After graduating from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in 1929, Channel earned her degree in architecture at Cornell University in 1933. She returned to her hometown of Portsmouth, Virginia, and worked at a firm for two years before opening her own office as the first registered woman architect in Virginia. The projects range in date from 1958-1997 and were all designed and completed in Bulgaria by Krasimina Choneva.
