Louis O'Shaughnessy Papers
Collection includes grade reports for O’Shaughnessy from a public school in Ohio, cancelled checks signed by G. Thomas Surface (a VPI professor in 1895), fourteen postcards of campus scenes, and an 1894 Maury Literary Society Debate Program.
Carter Perkins, Jr. Papers,
Papers of Carter Perkins, Jr., a student at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College (now Virginia Tech) in the 1890s and resident of Newport News, Virginia. Includes university catalog of 1894-1895, school annuals (The Bugle) of 1895 and 1898, photographs, and fundraising literature for the construction of War Memorial Hall. Also includes two business account books, probably used by Perkins for bookkeeping coursework.
Preston and Olin Institute Records
This collection contains an agent’s book for Olin and Preston Institute, five copies of reports from the Committee on Seminaries, and programs from the Alpha Literary Society and Preston Literary Society.

Ledger for a merchant operating in Montgomery County, VA. Entries date from 1881 through 1888. Goods were sold by William G. Sarvay beginning January 1, 1881. The business was sold to Sarvay's step-son, Charles Lyle on March 1, 1883.
