Richard Henry Adams Diaries
Served as a captain in the 5th Alabama Regiment, Confederate States of America, during the Civil War. Collection contains transcripts of diaries written between April 1862 and February 1865, much of it while as a prisoner of war.
Archibald Atkinson, Jr., Memoir,
The collection consists of a partial memoir of Atkinson's Civil War experiences. Atkinson served as a surgeon for the 10th Regiment, Virginia Cavalry, followed by appointments with the 31st Regiment, Virginia Infantry, and the Second Army Corps, Army of Nothern Virginia.

George W. Bonsall Diaries,
Resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a corporal in the 138th Regiment Ohio National Guard (originally formed as the 2nd Ohio Volunteer Reserve Militia) during the Civil War. Collection consists of two volumes of a manuscript diary, copied in 1865 of entries Bonsall wrote between May 23, 1861 (his 16th birthday) and 1865. The diaries also contain sporatic entries dating through 1878.
