Abstract Correspondence of members of the Stanford family of Putnam County Georgia. The majority of the collection consists of letter to and from Nehemiah Stanford and his two sons, Lycurgus and Eli. Many of the letters date from Lycurgus and Eli Stanford's time serving in the Civil War. Eli Stanford served as a member of Company A, 37th Georgia Infantry.
