Historical Information
The restaurant featured in the photograph was built in 1913, and is located in Gary Township, West Virginia. By 1920, the restaurant underwent extensive expansion.
Gary Township was a McDowell company-run town; it was the center of a booming steel and coal camp that operated until the 1970s. The town's prep plant was once the largest in the world.
