Van Buren-Oliver Family Collection,
Correspondence between Etta V. Oliver and her sons Russell V. Oliver, Welford T. Oliver, and daughter Nina. Correspondence includes family letters, business communications, and holiday and birthday cards.
Charles E. Vawter Family Collection,
The collection contains three types of items: a Ledger Book from 1882-1883, two VPI yearbooks from 1900 and 1913, a CDV photo album, and two early daguerreotypes.
Daniel Verser Letter,
The collection consists of a letter from Daniel Verser in Pittsylvania, Virginia, to his brother, Colonel William Verser in Burkesville, Virginia. Dated August 1867, the letter includes Daniel Verser's opinions on Reconstruction-era difficulties in the state.
George W. Viar Papers
Soldier in Company E of the 24th Virginia Volunteer Regiment during the Civil War. Papers consist of reports by surgeons in Dublin, Virginia, of their examinations of Viar, declaring him unfit for field duty. Also includes a note by a fellow soldier of Viar's to his family with saying that he is sending documents home with Viar.
