Harvey E. Shepherd Collection

Arthur Sibold Collection
The Arthur Sibold Collection includes VPI reunion materials. There is a VPI statistical data book, four postcards to Sibold, a 1914 class roster, a reunion news bulletin, and a letter directed to the alumni.
Carrie T. Sibold Family Papers,
The collection consists of scrapbooks, journals, V.P.I. reunion materials, photograph albums, family diplomas, and the diary of Nannie V. Sibold. As a whole, the collection dates from 1912 to 1990. However, Carrie T. Sibold's scrapbook journals, which run from 1974 to 1990, constitute the the bulk of the collection material.
Leon Dalmain Simmons Memorabilia
Member of the Engineering Class of 1934. Collection includes plaques and certificates awarded to Simmons, including a plaque from the Century Club and the Alumni Association.
Slusser Family Papers
Collection contains loose ledger sheets for the household expenditures of Dr. John B. Slusser, an advertisement from the Pressed Steel Car Company, a reciept from the Virginia Tech dining hall, a United States patent application for a nut-lock invented by Murray C. and William J. Slusser, and pages from a personal account book.
Ellison A. Smyth, Sr. Papers,
The Ellison A. Smyth, Sr. collection contains papers including his correspondence with professional and amateur scientists, collectors, dealers and suppliers around the world concerning entomology and zoology, his publications, and field journals from his entomological work.
Speeches, 1886
The collection contains two speeches by Beal in 1886: a valedictory address to the class of 1886, and a farewell address to the Lee Literary Society. The valedictory speech is in a folder with the title, "The Golden Ages are before us," and was given on Friday, April 30th, 1886. The farewell speech, according to the note on the back of the last page, was given at the final meeting of the Lee Literary Society in June 1886.
John H. Squires Papers,
The collection contains papers relating to Squires' will with affidavits, notes regarding stocks, correspondence, his diplomas from Virginia Tech and Cornell University, and a certificate from the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine.
Horatio Seymour Stahl Papers,
The collection consists of university-related papers and ephemera of Stahl's, as well a notebook and manuscript created by members of Stahl's family.
