Ledger listing men, mostly from Scott County, Virginia, including name, age, occupation and residence. Believed to be list of men to whom the amnesty oath was administered following the Civil War.
Mary Kelly Letter,
Letter written to Mary Kelly by an unidentified Union soldier. Soldier was a member of the 10th Iowa infantry. Letter describes an ambush by Confederate soldiers that killed five men and wounded eight.
William N. Curry Letter
Letters from a Confederate soldier, William N. Curry to his two brothers, Alpheus and Harry; the letters are written on the same page. Letters discusses camp life in Pocataligo, South Carolina. Curry discusses seeing Yankee ships run aground and set on fire to prevent the Confederates taking the cargo.
John W. Fairfax Letters
Letters from a New Orleans stock broker, John W. Fairfax, to Confederate General James Longstreet. The first is a request for a recommendation for Lawson L. Davis, a conferate veteran who was applying for a paymastership in the Army. The second letter speaks of personal business matters and mentions Bradstreet's impaired vision and new marriage.
